About Maz Scales

Maz Scales Born in England I got a taste for travel when my family lived in Malta for 2 years. I became a professional singer in 1982 and performed in many different countries. I have been living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida since 2000. Although I have only been painting for about five years, I have always been creative since learning to knit at age 6. My first paintings were mostly dogs and cats because I love animals. Since discovering the joy of abstract and expressionist art I feel I have truly found my voice. I love the freedom, spontaneity and energy of this type of art. I love to experiment and play with different textures and also enjoy making my own papers to use in mixed media pieces.
